COURSE OVERVIEW : 5 week taster course, hands-on floristry course designed for beginners who want to learn the fundamentals of working with fresh flowers. Students will create beautiful arrangements each week while learning essential techniques, care, and styling principles.

WEEK 1 — Introduction to Floristry + Hand-Tied Bouquet
Foundation skills, spiral technique, flower care.
Focus:
Flower care & conditioning
Tools of the trade
Colour basics
Spiral technique
Create: Classic hand-tied bouquet (to take home)
Value Add: Starter toolkit checklist & Flower care guide
WEEK 2 — Vase Arrangements + Floral
Balance Shape, balance, composition
Focus:
Shape, proportion & balance
Focal vs filler flowers
Working with vases
Create: Structured vase arrangement

WEEK 3 — Floral Foam + Centerpieces
Mechanics + event basics
Focus:
Using floral foam safely
Designing for events (centerpieces)
Mechanics behind long-lasting designs

Week 4 — Wrapped Designs + Personal Style
Presentation, branding, confidence

Branding your bouquet style
Wrapping techniques (retail-style)
Pricing your work (intro for hobby → business)

Week 5 — Event Styling Experience (The Upgrade Week)
Focus:
How to style a table or small event setting
Placement of florals in a space
Working with height, layering, and flow
Creating a cohesive aesthetic
Create: Group-styled table-scape or mini event setup
